5-Member J-Rock Group Cocoa Otoko. to Disband Next March

The five-member J-rock band Cocoa Otoko. announced on its website on Monday that the group will disband in March 2012. The band is comprised of five actors: Kenta Kamakari, Shogo Suzuki, Kei Hosogai, Kousuke Yonehara, and Takuya Ide. The band noted on its website that it is breaking up so that each of its members can continue to mature.
Vocalist Kenta Kamakari played the character Pegasus Seiya in the recent stage musical version of the first Saint Seiya mythological fantasy anime film. Kamakari has also played roles in several anime, such as Air Gear's Minami "Ikki" Itsuki and Katekyo Hitman Reborn!'s Dino. Drummer Yonehara has appeared in several stage musical productions of Air Gear and in stage productions of Fruits Basket and Peace Maker.
Keyboardist Takuya Ide played the character of Hiroto Kazama in the Kirarin Revolution television anime series. Guitarist Shogo Suzuki starred in the live-action film adaptation of Hiroshi Tanaka's Bad Boys motorcycle gang manga.
The band released its first single in April 2010, and it will release its fifth single this month and its first album in January.
