The Gamer.ne.jp website began streaming the opening movie for Gravity and GungHo Online Entertainment's Ragnarok Odyssey action game on Thursday. The anime studio Robot (La Maison en Petits Cubes/Tsumiki no Ie, Ring of Gundam) produced the opening movie with Robot's producer/character animation head Mikitaka Kurasawa and Shirogumi's director Akira Iwamoto. The same two creators made the CG footage in Onimusha 2 and other projects.

Kumi Tanioka (Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Chocobo's Dungeon 2) composed the music. Tanioka appeared at the party that was held on Thursday to announce the completion of the game, along with Kurasawa, Iwamoto, GungHo CEO Kazuki Morishita, Sony Computer Entertainment President Hiroshi Kawano, and Game Arts development director Kazuhiro Irie. The married couple of former Morning Musume member Mari Yaguchi and former D-Boys member Masaya Nakamura also appeared to talk about how they enjoy the game together via its cooperative gameplay.

The game will ship for the new PS Vita handheld system in Japan on February 2, 2012.

Update: The original Ragnarok Online massively multiplayer online role-playing game inspired Ragnarok The Animation television series from G.D.H.
