Matsudo's Crime-Fighting Moe Character Makes CD Debut

Aya Matsumiya, the moe mascot character that Matsudo City created this year to promote crime prevention, will make her singing debut with a theme song CD that will go on sale this Friday. She will even perform a mini live concert outside Matsudo Station on January 10.
Chiho Kayanuma, a voice actress who lives in Matsudo and has cosplayed as Aya Matsumiya at events, received an official license from the city's Crime Prevention Association to independently produce a music CD. The 1,300-yen (about US$17) CD will arrive on January 8 with the songs "Miracle Peace" and "Hot Chocolate," but Comic Market 81 visitors can buy advance copies on Friday.
Kayanuma wrote the lyrics for both songs, and Hiroyuki Kouzu (Kanon, Piano, Wedding Peach) composed the music. Nanaroku ("76"), the pixiv artist who originally designed Aya Matsumiya for a series of crime-prevention posters and later collectible "moe cards," also drew the CD jacket cover.
Kayanuma will hold a mini-live concert at a 110-Number Day event from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on January 10 or 1/10. ("110" the emegency hotline number in Japan, similar to "911" in the United States.)
