Tiger & Bunny Anime Inspires Chess Pieces from Megahouse

The July issue of Hobby Japan magazine is revealing on Friday that Megahouse is bringing the Tiger & Bunny anime into its revived Chess Piece Collection R line. Chess Piece Collection R Tiger & Bunny Vol. 1 will launch in late September with six figures: Kotetsu T. Kaburagi, Wild Tiger, Barnaby Brooks Jr., Barnaby Brooks Jr. (hero version), Sky High, and Fire Emblem.
Each of the six painted figures comes with either a Black or White base for a total of 12 different variants. The Kotetsu T. Kaburagi and Barnaby Brooks Jr. figures can be put side-by-side to form one display set.
Last month, Megahouse relaunched its popular Chess Piece Collection series after almost a decade of dormancy. The first set in the relaunch was from the One Piece pirate anime. The first three-year run of the Chess Piece Collection series boasted about 40 different sets, including ones inspired by Mobile Suit Gundam, Kamen Rider, Dragon Ball, Godzilla, Lupin III, and Dunbine.
