Madoka Magica's Kyubey Inspires Cosplay Pajamas

MOVIC to release fleece kigurumi character pajamas on October 18

The Japanese character goods maker MOVIC will release kigurumi (costumed character) pajamas inspired by the Puella Magi Madoka Magica character Kyubey on October 18. The company's online shop is now accepting pre-orders for 5,040 yen (about US$63).

The fleece pajamas measure about 145 centimeters (about 57 inches) from shoulder to ankle. They will fit people who range in height from 145 to 180 centimeters (about 57 to 71 inches). MOVIC's website notes that the pajamas can double as a Halloween costume.

Kyubey voice actress Emiri Katō dressed up as the character in a different hooded outfit in March. The cosplay shop Fragment also began offering another Kyubey plush suit in April 2011. The character has already inspired numerous official and unofficial products such as a kigurumi-wearing doll, face cushion, G-Shock watch, punching balloon, hugging pillow, plush doll, memory stick, and marshmallows.
