Level 5's Yōkai Watch 3DS Game's Direct Video Streamed

Nintendo streamed a new trailer on Thursday during its Nintendo Direct presentation for Level 5's Yōkai Watch game. Level 5 plans to release the game for the Nintendo 3DS console. Nintendo president Satoru Iwata explains the game's plot in and basic gameplay in the video.
The game's story begins one hot summer day when a boy named Keita discovers an old capsule toy vending machine in the forest. Keita receives a mysterious watch and meets a ghost butler named Whisper. Whisper tells Keita that the watch allows him to see supernatural creatures — both good and evil — that he could not see before in everyday life. With Whisper and his other companion Jibanya, Keita explores his town for other ghosts to battle.
Level 5 has announced plans for anime and manga adaptations of the franchise as well. The company has not yet announced a release date for the game.
