Macross Valkyrie LEGO Set Not Out of the Question

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Three times a year, LEGO takes fan concepts and reviews them for official LEGO sets. So long as the ideas get 10,000 supporters by each deadline, the LEGO team will consider which set will become an official release. This year, LEGO is considering an official Macross set, specifically, the Macross VF-1 Valkyrie.

The set would be able to transform into Fighter, Gerwalk and Battroid modes. YouTube user "maxvf1" proposed the set and created a series of videos showing how it would work.

Other sets in this review period include Sherlock, Legend of Zelda: Iron Knuckle Encounter, Japanese Old Style Architecture, The Adventure Time Project, and BTTF – UCS DeLorean Time Machine from Back to the Future.

Fans have turned to LEGOs to recreate other anime properties including the Akira motorcycle, the Strike Witches opening and ending sequences, and the ever-popular Hatsune Miku virtual idol.
