posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Composer Nobuo Uematsu will judge the entries

Square Enix is holding a one-of-a-kind contest for musicians and Final Fantasy fans. The company is holding a music contest in collaboration with its Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call Nintendo 3DS game.

Contestants need only send a video of themselves performing the series' iconic main theme, whether on an instrument or singing, for a chance to win the grand prize. Legendary Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu will be judging the submissions, which must be under one minute and 30 seconds long and include a signed piece paper naming your favorite Final Fantasy game. Group submissions are accepted, but only one member can win. Entries need to be uploaded on the official website once submissions open on August 5.

The prize includes the winner's submission featured in an upcoming Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call trailer, two round trip tickets to an upcoming "Distant Worlds: Final Fantasy" concert, the Japanese limited edition Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call Nintendo 3DS XL, all fourteen Final Fantasy soundtracks, a copy of the game signed by composer Nobuo Uematsu, and a Final Fantasy mini-figure.

One runner up will receive a signed copy of the game, all the soundtracks, and a figure. 10 third place winners will receive a signed copy of the game.

The Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call game goes on sale on September 16.
