Kodansha Recruiting Staff to Create 'Largest Scale Manga Application in History'

Leading Japanese publishing company Kodansha is recruiting staff to work on, "the overwhelmingly largest scale manga application in history," which they plan to launch at the end of 2017. Kodansha is the publisher Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine, Weekly Shōnen Magazine, Young Magazine, and a wide variety of individual manga titles, such as Attack on Titan, Cardcaptor Sakura, Fairy Tail, and The Seven Deadly Sins.

The special recruitment site uses images from the manga Chūkan Kanri Roku Tonegawa (The Record of Middle Manager Tonegawa), which is an original, collaborative work by Tensei Hagiwara with Nobuyuki Fukumoto. The illustrations are drawn by Tomohiro Hashimoto and Tomoki Miyoshi.

Kodansha is specifically looking for application designers, system engineers, data analysts, and media managers. Applications can be made on their recruitment website until May 19.
