Nintendo revealed more details for the Super Mario Odyssey game for the Nintendo Switch during its Nintendo Direct presentation on Wednesday. The company announced that the game will get a Nintendo Switch bundle with a themed carrying case and red Joy-Con controllers. The video embedded below also reveals the game's Shiveria and Bubblaine areas, more story details, Snapshot Mode, and the three amiibo for the game.
The Super Mario Odyssey Edition Nintendo Switch bundle will ship on October 27, the same day that the game will launch. The bundle will retail for US$379.99. Mario, Peach, and Bowser will also debut in wedding outfits as amiibo on the same day.
In the game, Mario leaves the Mushroom Kingdom to "go on a new sandbox-style journey." Yoshiaki Koizumi, the game's producer, said that Mario's eyed cap will play an "important role in Mario's journey" in the game.
The game's director Kenta Motokura confirmed in July that Mario is human, despite his "different" appearance from other humans in the game. However, Nintendo's official Japanese website is hinting that the classic character no longer works as a plumber.
