Get a Front Seat to Your Own Exclusive ARP Idol Concert

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The dance vocal group ARP will soon be stars of their own anime next year and are drumming up interest with music videos and behind-the-scenes looks at their recording process.

The catch is ARP isn't real, at least not in the traditional sense. All four members are created via augmented reality and whomever is behind the each character's moves and voice is unknown.

The group will release a new album on December 19 and are promoting a new kind of tie-in concert for fans. The smartphone app Hikari TV - VF will work in conjunction with four acrylic stand AR markers to give an intimate performance of the group's song "Paradise."

The acrylic AR stands will be sold at the ARP REWIND IV live performance at the DMM VR Theater on October 27-29 and November 3-4. A demonstration will be shown at the Animate Girls Fest event on November 10-11 where new information about the group's anime adaptation will be announced.

ARP (an abbreviation for Artists Republic Production) is a dance vocal group which holds live performances — featuring singing, dancing, and interactive talking with the audience — in real-time using the latest augmented-reality technology. The group is led by Shinji, the foursome's blonde idol. Rounding out the group is Leon who specializes in dance, and the duo Daiya and Rage.
