Godzilla Fans Can Test Franchise Knowledge With Official Certification Exams

The Godzilla films have already been used for educational purposes, but now there is an official way to certify fans' expertise with the franchise. To celebrate the 65th anniversary of the original film's debut, the "Dai-1-kai Gojira Kentei" (1st Godzilla Certification) exams will be held in Tokyo and Osaka on March 10.
The exams will cover knowledge from the original Godzilla film to the recent and popular Shin Godzilla film, plus everything in between. Questions will require fans to have expertise in famous scenes from throughout the film series, character profiles, and TOHO mechanics, as well as a variety of other topics. Limited-edition merchandise will be available for purchase at the exam venue on the day of the test.
The fee for the beginner level of the exams is 5,000 yen (about US$45), while the fee for the intermediate level is 6,000 yen (about US$54). People who want to take both tests can also do so for a discounted rate of 9,500 yen (about US$85).
All of the questions will be multiple choice, and each question will have four answer choices. For the beginner level, participants must answer at least 65% ofthe questions correctly, while test takers at the intermediate level must answer at least 70% of the questions correctly in order to pass. People who pass the exams will receive a certificate with special visual.
