Doting pet owners may now be able to dress up their dog or cat like their favorite anime character. Bandai is collaborating with pet product store Petio to release Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball-themed items for pets in March 2019. The items will be released under the newly launched "Character Petio" brand.
On the Sailor Moon side, there will be cosplay outfits for the five original Sailor Guardians, costing 3,218 yen (US$28.62). The outfit without the skirt, which can be worn more easily by some pets, costs 2,678 yen (US$23.82). On the Dragon Ball side, Goku's signature outfit is available for 2,480 yen (US$22.06).
There are also outfits that your pet can put their front legs into; when you look at them directly from the front, they look like they're walking on two feet. These outfits can come with Goku, Vegeta, or Frieza's appearances, and will cost 3,218 yen (US$28.62) each.
Other products include dome-shaped beds with the design of Usagi's futon and Luna's face, cushions, soft toys, and backpacks. These items will be available at Japanese pet stores and online starting from March next year.
