Taste the 'Forbidden Menu' at Tokyo Ghoul Restaurant

Do you fancy yourself a Gourmet Ghoul? A restaurant in Tokyo's Ginza district will let you live out a devilish fantasy with a menu to match. The "Ghoul Restaurant" will open for one month only to commemorate the Tokyo Ghoul S live-action film. Visitors will be immersed in luxurious horror as they dine on dinner course of "blood and roses."
The space will be surrounded by 40,000 blood red roses. The rose-filled bathtub from the film was recreated for the restaurant.
The full menu is: lychee and rose drink, soft-shell turtle blood and tomato meringue, three varieties of fois gras, horse meat carpaccio, meunière of thymus neat (calf sweetbread), roasted venison, roasted Challans Duck, and finally the dessert; 'World of Death: Red Fruit and Rose.'
Wine is poured into both standard and "blood-sucking" glasses.
The staff will don intimidating yet elegant masks as they escort patrons to their tables and serve food.
The restaurant will open on July 5 and run until August 4. Patrons must pay a 10,000 yen (US$92) to partake of the eight-course ghoulish experience.
Masataka Kubota is returning as Ken Kaneki, but Maika Yamamoto is replacing Fumika Shimizu as Tōka Kirishima. (Shimizu retired from acting to join the Happy Science religious organization in 2017.) Shota Matsuda is joining the cast as Shū Tsukiyama, a character who appears in the manga but was not in the last film.
The first film premiered on July 3, 2017 at Anime Expo in Los Angeles. The film then opened in Japan on July 29, 2017, and ranked #5 in its opening weekend in Japan. Funimation screened the first film in theaters in the United States in October 2017.
