AnimeNEXT 2003 September update

Pre-registration, hotel info, musical guest, Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments, video game tournament list, and more
The second annual AnimeNEXT will take place at the Rye Town Hilton (half an hour north of New York City) on October 3-5, 2003. Those planning to attend but who have not yet purchased a pass should note the $35 pre-registration deadline has been extended an additional two weeks to September 15th. However, the $109 group hotel rate only lasts until Friday, September 12th, so AnimeNEXT encourages con-goers to book their rooms as soon as possible.
PEELANDER-Z, a Japanese a punk-rock band founded in 1998 in NYC, will be performing a Friday night concert at the convention. AnimeNEXT will also be sponsoring two Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments on Saturday and Sunday. Wayne Grayson, the voice of Joey Wheeler, will be on hand for the tournament.
A preliminary video game tournament list has been posted at the official AnimeNEXT site.
To top off the festivities, the convention will host three anime game shows: Anime Trivia, Anime Name that Tune, and Anime Price is Right, each with a pile of prizes.
