Seoul - April 30, 2026 - NEXON's MapleStory: Idle RPG, a mobile idle RPG co-developed with Able Games, is launching the “Half Anniversary Festival,” a large-scale event featuring a 1+1 Burning Event, featuring a Flag Race. Additional content also includes two new Pirate-class jobs, new boss raid Horntail, Star Force Hunting Zone weekly content and more.

Infused with the nostalgia of the MapleStory series, MapleStory: Idle RPG brings the beloved MapleStory universe alive through a brand-new idle RPG adventure. Players can experience the classic MapleStory charm through accessible auto-battle features that allow characters to progress even while offline. With diverse gear collection, skill mastery, and extensive character customization, fans can enjoy casual yet rewarding gameplay.

In MapleStory: Idle RPG players will have the opportunity to celebrate the “Half Anniversary Festival,” participate in the Flag Race and earn Festival Points. Additional content includes more jobs, a new boss raid and a new weekly content mode, providing players with even more ways to enjoy the game.
*“Half Anniversary Festival” – This event will run until June 11 and kicks off with a Burning Event that grants 1+1 level-up benefits to characters between Level 20 and Level 98. Once a Burning Character is registered, the effect will last for 90 days. After reaching Level 99, players will receive a weekly Post-Burning Booster that increases EXP gain by 100% for 100 hours.
*Flag Race Mini Game – The festival also introduces Flag Race, a mini-game where up to eight players compete in a race. Players can win by overcoming various obstacles and reaching the finish line first, while using skills to block other players or create favorable situations for themselves. For achievement rewards, players can earn “Festival Coins” based on the number of first-place finishes and “Festival Points” based on cumulative participation.
*“Festival Points” and “Festival Coins” – Depending on the accumulated amount, “Festival Points” can be used to obtain various growth materials, including a Star Force Stage 17 Enhancer. “Festival Coins” can be exchanged for various currencies and items at the Festival Special Shop. Players can also earn additional Festival Points and Festival Coins by completing daily missions, achievement missions and other missions available during the festival period. Additional growth materials and an exclusive medal will be granted as final rewards based on the cumulative number of completed special missions.
*Additional Pirate-Class jobs – With this update, two new Pirate-class jobs have also been added alongside the existing 10 jobs. Buccaneer is a job centered on knuckle-based martial arts, unleashing powerful attacks alongside the sea-powered Sea Serpent. Corsair uses firearms for ranged attacks and fights enemies together with various crew members.
*New Boss Raid – A new boss raid, Horntail, has also been added. Available in three difficulty levels—Easy, Normal and Hard— with parties of up to four players will be able to take on the challenge. Upon successful completion, players can receive rewards based on the selected difficulty, including three new pieces of equipment—Dea Sidus Earrings, Horntail Necklace and Chaos Horntail Necklace—as well as two types of Horntail-exclusive equipment scrolls. The new Horntail boss raid is also planned to be introduced as part of future guild raid content.
*New Weekly Content Mode – This update introduces Star Force Hunting Zone, a new weekly content mode where players can defeat monsters within a time limit based on their highest completed chapter stage to earn large amounts of EXP.
*Boss Raid Improvements – The boss raid entry system has also been improved, allowing players to consume two boss raid entry tickets at once to receive rewards equivalent to two runs. The weekly number of entry tickets and recharge count also increased to four.
