Galaxy Express 999 goes live-action

Chinese director Jeff Lau plans to produce a loose adaptation of Leiji Matsumoto's Galaxy Express 999 manga. Titled "Galaxy Princess," it will star Sammo Hung, Gordon Liu, Yuen Wah, Bruce Leung, Stephen Fung, Gillian Chung and, Charlene Choi. Production is scheduled to begin in August, with a release tentatively set for early next year.
