Higuchi discusses drawing process, favorite characters; 1st English book out

On Friday, the North American manga publisher Tokyopop posted an interview with Tachibana Higuchi, the creator of the Gakuen Alice shōjo manga about friends in a magical academy. In the interview, Higuchi explained how she started drawing manga and how her typical working day goes with her assistants. She also described who influenced her manga and how she views the Gakuen Alice anime and videogame adaptations. Finally, she named her favorite magical ability and characters from the series.

Tokyopop released the first English-language volume of Gakuen Alice in December. Animax Asia broadcasted an English version of Group TAC's 2004-2005 anime adaptation in some Asian countries, but no North American release of the anime has been announced yet.
