Hong Kong studio recruits artists for upcoming projects
Felix Ip, one of IMAGI's directors for the Jikū Bōkenki Zentrix computer graphics series and a producer of last year's TMNT movie, has posted images for his company's job recruitment posters and banner, including three with Astro Boy. IMAGI is producing a computer-graphics film adaptation of Osamu Tezuka's manga robot boy. The art style in the posters does not necessarily reflect the final version that will appear in the film. Warner Brothers and The Weinstein Company are planning to release the film internationally in 2009. IMAGI is holding its job fair in Hong Kong during February 23-24 weekend.

Like the longest (but enjoyable) roller coaster you've ever been on, the eight episodes based on the creator of Chainsaw Man's early works are a wild ride from start to finish.― Tatsuki Fujimoto's early-career standalone stories show the subtle ways he's developed as a manga author. From trying his hand at a straightforward romantic story to the early foundations of the enigmatic world of Chainsaw M...
The creators of moon have a brand-new game in the works, and Nintendo Pictures debuts its first creation. Read more in This Week in Games!― Welcome back, folks! In my continued efforts to keep this column on the straight and narrow, I avoid talking too much about Carnelian's efforts with the recent Kao no Nai Tsuki Remake visual novel. It's been out for a few weeks now, and as far as I can tell, it'...

Nyaight of the Living Cat likely would have achieved more success as tightly-edited, punchier shorts.― Nyaight of the Living Cat is a deeply silly show where most of the humor derives from the viewer recognising plentiful references to mainly US-produced horror and action movies. Even the individual episode titles are cat and movie-related puns, like “Commeowndo” and “Meow Am Legend.” Non-movie buff...
