Rozen Maiden Confirmed to Restart in Young Jump Mag

posted on by Egan Loo
Gothic-Lolita-influenced manga from Peach-Pit to return on April 17

This year's 17th issue (on sale on March 27) of Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine will confirm the relaunch of Peach-Pit's Rozen Maiden manga in the 20th issue (on sale on April 17). Peach-Pit, the pair of manga creators behind DearS, Shugo Chara!, and Zombie-Loan, just published a one-shot Rozen Maiden spinoff called "Shōjo no Tsukuri-kata" ("How to make a girl") in the 16th issue, which was released on March 19. Young Jump's special announcement will promise the return of the Gothic-Lolita-influenced Rozen Maiden title in "1,814,400 seconds" (21 days).

Rozen Maiden had run in Gentosha's rival Monthly Comic Birz magazine. However, Peach-Pit announced in December of 2006 that the manga would go on hiatus due to issues on "the editorial department's side." Tokyopop will published the eighth compiled volume — the abbreviated last volume from Gentosha — on May 13.
