Edo-Tokyo Museum to Mark Osamu Tezuka's 80th Birthday

Major exhibition with "God of Manga's" original art, personal belongings
Japan's Edo-Tokyo Museum, the institution whose mission is to educate visitors about the Japanese capital city's history, culture, and potential future, announced plans to host a special exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of the birth of "God of Manga," Osamu Tezuka. The exhibition will start on April 18, and among the items the museum will put on display will be pieces of Tezuka's original art, his work desk, and the medical license he received after completing his education as a doctor. Among other classic manga and anime, Tezuka created Mighty Atom/Astro Boy, Jungle Emperor/Kimba the White Lion, Princess Knight, Phoenix, Metropolis, and Black Jack.
