Carl Macek Memorial Service to Be Open to Public

Harmony Gold USA has announced that the memorial service of American producer Carl Macek will be held in Sherman Oaks, California on Saturday, May 1. The public service will be held at the Congregational Church of the Chimes at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to assist with memorial expenses have been requested. Checks should be made out to Svea Macek and sent to the following address:

Harmony Gold has taken out full-page ads in the April 23 issue of the Daily Variety trade magazine and the April 25 issue of the Los Angeles Times newspaper. The Robotech.com website has posted tributes from several people in the American industry.

Carl Macek passed away on April 17. He was 58 years old.
