Gainax's Aim for the Top! Gunbuster Anime Gets Manga

The December issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Young Ace magazine is announcing on Thursday that artist Kabocha is drawing a manga series based on Gainax's Aim for the Top! Gunbuster science-fiction anime. The manga series will launch in the next issue on December 4.
US Renditions released the 1988 video anime series on video tape as one of the first English-subtitled anime releases in the United States in 1990. Bandai Visual USA then released the anime on DVD in 2007.

Update: Bandai Visual published a two-volume comic anthology called Comic Gunbuster in 1989. Comic Gunbuster featured short manga stories, short text stories, and illustrations.
