Otakon to Host Writer-Director Makoto Shinkai

Otakon has announced that it will host writer-director Makoto Shinkai as a guest during its July 29-31 convention in Baltimore, Maryland. He started creating his own anime titles almost single-handedly, being responsible for the writing, directing, and even voice-acting.
His works include She and Her Cat, Voices of a Distant Star, The Place Promised in Our Early Days, 5 Centimeters Per Second, and Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below.
