12-episode anime series of Marvel comic to premiere on Friday on G4 in U.S.

The Wired website began streaming two exclusive clips from the X-Men anime with English dubbing on Tuesday.

The 12-episode series will premiere on the American television channel G4 on Friday at 11:00 p.m. ET. Scott Porter plays Cyclops, and Milo Ventimiglia reprises his Wolverine role from the earlier anime adaptation of the comic character. The Japanese studio Madhouse produced all four Marvel Anime series.

The story of X-Men revolves around the title mutant team being reunited after the death of a teammate. The members search in Japan for a missing teenage girl, Hisako Ikichi. "There, they encounter the fanatical and anti-mutant group, U-MEN, and discover what was important enough for Xavier to bring them back together."

Update: Ventimiglia voiced Wolverine in the Iron Man and Wolverine anime, but not in X-Men. Thanks, KLAC.
