The official website for the television anime adaptation of sprite/fairys' Love, Election, & Chocolate (Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate) adult game began streaming the series' first commercial on Wednesday. The 30-second video features Annabel's opening theme song "Signal Graph."
Toru Kitahata (Haganai/Oreimo episode director) is directing the anime at AIC Build with scripts overseen by Katsuhiko Takayama (Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts, ef: a tale of melodies). Hiroaki Gohda (Amagami SS, Please Teacher!) is adapting Yū Akinashi's original game designs for animation, and Elements Garden (Bodacious Space Pirates, Senki Zesshō Symphogear) is composing the music. Ceui will perform the ending theme song "Kaze no Naka no Primrose."
The original 2010 Windows game follows the protagonist at a "mega academy" with over 6,000 students. To save his cooking club from being abolished, the protagonist agrees to run for student body president.
The anime will premiere in Japan on July 5.
