Crunchyroll Adds Bottom Biting Bug TV Anime Series

Series of 5-minute shorts based on hit children's song premiered in Japan on October 7

The media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that it will stream the Bottom Biting Bug (Oshiri Kajiri Mushi) television anime series. The website will stream the series on Saturdays starting on October 20 at 6:55 p.m. EDT. The series will be available for premium and free members in North America, South America, the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Spain.

The gag comedy anime is inspired by the hit children's song of the same name and follows Oshiri Kajiri Mushi XVIII, a 10-year-old insect who goes Biting School to inherit his family's Biting Shop business. The series will have 20 five-minute episodes. Bottom Biting Bug premiered in Japan on October 7.

Pon Kozutsumi (Rita et Machin) and Masayuki Kojima (Tibetan Dog, Monster) are directing the series at Kinema Citrus.
