The official YouTube channel for Fuji TV's noitaminA programming block began streaming a new promotional video for Robotics;Notes on Sunday. Like last week's Comic Market 83 promotional video, this new video highlights the dramatic events in the second half of the anime.
The video notes that the second half (cours) of the anime will start on Thursday, January 10 at 25:15 JST (effectively Friday, January 11 at 1:15 a.m.). This video premiered during a marathon of the anime's first 11 episodes on the Niconico service on Saturday.
Robotics;Notes adapts the Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 game of the same name by the makers of Steins;Gate and Chaos;Head. The third "science adventure game" is set in an alternate future world after Tokyo's Shibuya district was destroyed in 2009, followed by the destruction of the Radio Kaikan building in Tokyo's Akihabara a year later. The world is immersed in realistic augmented reality technology in 2019, but a high school robotics club is in danger of being disbanded after shrinking to just two members. The club's revival is tied to the robot it is building, as well as with climactic events around the world that will be revealed in the story's second half.
Funimation currently streams the series as it airs in Japan.
