Next Pokémon film's full title revealed; Eevee's new Sylveon evolution in next short

The Pokemon Company began streaming a "top secret" video of Genesect, the titular Pokémon for this year's anime film, on Friday. Team Plasma is the main antagonist group in the Pokemon Black and White video games.

The video introduces "Project G," the legendary Pokémon that dates back 300 million years ago, and four Drives/Cassettes (Burn/Blaze, Douse/Aqua, Shock/Lightning, Chill/Freeze) that are used to change the creature's Techno Blast/Technobuster cannon attack type. The video also shows Genesects' ability to transform to fly, as well as the unique ExtremeSpeed Red Genesect.

The full title for this summer's Pokemon film, Pokémon the Movie: ExtremeSpeed Genesect (Gekijōban Pocket Monster Best Wishes! Shinsoku no Genesekuto) was revealed on the official website to be Gekijōban Pocket Monster Best Wishes! Shinsoku no Genesekuto: Myuutsū Kakusei (Pokémon the Movie: ExtremeSpeed Genesect: Mewtwo's Awakening).

Mewtwo's first Pokemon film appearance was in Pokemon: The First Movie followed by the television special Pokemon: Mewtwo Returns.

The next evolution of Eevee, Sylveon, will also appear in the "Pikachu to Eevee Friends" short running with the film. A new trailer and poster for the film will debut on March 9, when Doraemon: Nobita no Himitsu Dōgu Museum opens in theaters.

The film and its accompanying short will open on July 13.
