GAINAX's adaptation of Ikoma, Tomomoka Midori's manga to premiere on July 4

Media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Tuesday that it will stream the Stella Jo-Gakuin C3-Bu television anime series under the name Stella Women's Academy, High School Division Class C3. The site will stream the series on Tuesdays starting on July 9 at 12:30 a.m. EDT for users in the United States, Canada, South Africa, Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.

The series adapts Ikoma and Tomomoka Midori's original Tokurei Sochi Dantai Stella Jo-Gakuin Kōtō-ka C3-Bu manga. In the manga, Yura Yamato has just arrived at the high school division of Stella Girl's Academy, when Sonora Kashima invites her to join a club called "C3." Sonora is the third-year student who became the new head of this club for survival games. The other members include two second-year students (part-Japanese Karila Hatsuse and G36K-wielding Honoka Mutsu) and two other new students (Rento Kirishima whose family runs a Japanese sweets shop and the really short Yachiyo Hinata). The show stars Yui Makino as Yura, Miyuki Sawashiro as Sonora, Ai Kayano as Karila, Chiwa Saito as Honoka, Rima Nishizaki as RIMA, and Madoka Yonezawa as Yachiyo.

Masayoshi Kawajiri making his directorial debut for the anime at GAINAX. Satoru Kiyomaru (Inu X Boku Secret Service, Rosario + Vampire) is serving as chief animation director, Manami Umeshita (Medaka Box) is adapting Midori's characters for animation, and Kotaro Nakagawa (Code Geass, Inu X Boku Secret Service, Devil Survivor 2 The Animation) is handling the music. The six main leads will perform the ending theme song.

The series will premiere in Japan on July 4.
