The IDOLM@STER Anime Film Slated for Early 2014

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The official website for The IDOLM@STER anime franchise announced on Sunday that THE IDOLM@STER MOVIE: Kagayaki no Mukōgawa e! (The IDOLM@STER Movie: To the Glittering Other Side) film will open in Japan in early 2014. The film will open in the Shinjuku Ward 9 and other theaters throughout Japan.

Limited-edition ticket packs were available at ACE for 5,000 yen (about US$53), but they sold out during the event's first day. A second set (pictured right) titled "THE IDOLM@STER MOVIE VAC@TION PACK!!" went on sale at "THE IDOLM@STER 8th Anniversary Hop! Step!! Festiv@l!!!" on Sunday and bundled a bonus background music CD and two tickets for the movie in a clear storage case.

The film will be a brand-new work telling a new story about the 765Pro idols. The staff will be same as that from the second television series, including the anime studio A-1 Pictures, writers Atsushi Nishigori and Tatsuya Takahashi, and director/character designer Atsushi Nishigori.
