Eventful Adds Evangelion 3.0 Film Screening Request Option

Funimation announced last week that social media platform Eventful added Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo to its "Demand it!" feature. Fans can click the "Demand it!" button to request a screening of the film to be shown in their area. Theater screenings may develop based on fan demands. As of Thursday, more than 3,300 fans demanded the film, with Los Angeles ranking first on the list of most-demanding cities.
Crowdfunding platform Tugg is using a similar approach for Mamoru Hosoda's Wolf Children film. Tugg requires a location to sell a certain number of tickets to guarantee the film will screen there.
