S. California's UTB to Air Sherlock Hound, Eagle Talon Neo

United Television Broadcasting Systems (UTB), a Japanese-language television station in Southern California, will air the 1984 Sherlock Hound anime series and the 2012 Eagle Talon Neo (Himitsu Kessha Taka no Tsume Neo) anime series. Sherlock Hound will premiere on December 29 at 6:30 a.m. PST. Eagle Talon Neo will premiere at 7:50 a.m. PST on December 21 and air every Saturday and Sunday. Both will have English subtitles.
Academy Award-winning director Hayao Miyazaki (Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Spirited Away, Ponyo) and director Kyosuke Mikuriya (Lupin III: Part II, Ulysses 31) oversaw Sherlock Hound, which re-imagines Sir Authur Conan Doyle's brilliant detective and the rest of England as canine characters. TMS previously streamed Sherlock Hound in English on YouTube.
On Tuesday, Flash animation studio DLE began streaming a promotional video for Eagle Talon Neo's U.S. premiere where the cast finally "conquer Hollywood!"
UTB describes the story:
"SECRET SOCIETY EAGLE TALON NEO” is a superhero parody that sees the ostensibly “evil” team of villains, Eagle Talon, as good-hearted protagonists, and the traditional superhero of the series, Deluxe Fighter, a narcissistic bully.
Eagle Talon Neo is the third television anime in Frogman and DLE's flash-anime series. A second season premiered in April and the fourth film opened in theaters in September.
UTB has also aired the 2011 Hana Zakari no Kimi-tachi e ~Ikemen Paradise live-action dramas series, the Case Closed anime, the New Year's Kouhaku broadcast, and Remi.
