Mikakunin de Shinkōkei Comedy Anime's New Promo Streamed

posted on by Egan Loo
Haruka Terui stars in comedy series premiering on January 8

The official website for the upcoming anime adaptation of Cherry Arai's Mikakunin de Shinkōkei comedy manga began streaming the second promotional video on December 28. The video features the theme song "Tomadoi Recipe" by the Mikakuningu! unit made up of voice actresses Haruka Terui, Eriko Matsui, and Yuri Yoshida (and produced by Junky).

The video begins with Kobeni Yonomori (voiced by Haruka Terui) introducing herself and revealing that it is her 16th birthday. That day, a young man with little presence named Hakuya Mitsumine and his little sister Mashiro suddenly appear in front of her. It turns out that Hakuya is her fiancé, and Mashiro is her future sister-in-law. The three (and Konbeni's big sister Benio) start living together underneath the same roof, and hilarious happenings occur.

The show's cast includes:

Haruka Terui (background characters in NAKAIMO, Tamako Market) as Kobeni Yonomori, the "ultimate average high school first-year student." She handles the cooking and all other household chores.

Eriko Matsui (Log Horizon's Isuzu) as Benio Yonomori, the talented student council head at high school. She is actually a pervert with siscon and lolicon issues.

Yuri Yoshida as Mashiro Mitsumine, Hakuya's little sister.

Wataru Hatano (Valvrave's Takumi Kibakawa, Fairy Tail's Gajeel Redfox) as Hakuya Mitsumine, Kobeni's fiancé. He is tall, taciturn, and a bit oblivious to the world.

Yoshiyuki Fujiwara (GJ Club) is directing the series off of scripts by Fumihiko Shimo (Air, Clannad). Ai Kikuchi (Rainbow - Nisha Rokubō no Shichinin, Iron Man) is serving as character designer and chief animation director. Dogakobo is animating the series.

The series will premiere on January 8 on Japan's ABC station, and Crunchyroll will stream the series in various countries outside of Japan as it airs under the title Engaged to the Unidentified.
