Bonuses highlighted for dark action RPG shipping on March 11 for PS3/Xbox 360

Namco Bandai Games America posted a new trailer on Wednesday for its upcoming dark action role-playing video game Dark Souls II.

The video highlights the bonuses available to those who pre-order the game, such as a metal case and soundtrack. The special edition also includes a cloth game map, a 12-inch warrior knight figurine, and an art book.

The video also shows new gameplay and cutscene footage of the protagonist facing off against fearsome monsters.

From Software revealed Dark Souls II at Spike TV's Video Game Awards in December 2012. The game is a sequel to 2011's Dark Souls action role-playing game for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. From Software had previously developed the Armored Core franchise and Demon's Souls game, for which the Dark Souls games serve as a "spiritual sequel."

From Software jointly developed the game with Namco Bandai Games, who will ship the game in North America on March 11 for the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3. The game will ship in Japan on March 13 and in Europe and Australia on March 14. Namco Bandai Games has said that the release date for the PC version is "shortly after console release."
