Anime Expo announced on Thursday that it will host voice actress Uki Satake, illustrator and manga artist Lunatic Joker, and BONES studio president Masahiko Minami at this year's convention in Los Angeles.

Satake is voicing the robot QT in Shinichiro Watanabe's sci-fi comedy Space Dandy, Kite and Podungo Lapoy in Hunter x Hunter, and Mikia in The World is Still Beautiful. Satake is also a member of the idol group 9nine. The group performed theme songs for Star Driver, My Little Monster, and Magi - The Kingdom of Magic.

Visual novel localization group Sekai Project will bring manga artist and illustrator Luna Tsukigami/Lunatic Joker to the convention. Tsukigami is currently serializing 4LDK! in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Carino magazine. He self-published the Moeru Headphone Reader art collection featuring high-end headphones followed by Moeru Headphone Reader 2013 last year. A successful Kickstarter campaign to localize the book in English ended in January.

Masahiko Minami, the co-founder and president of the acclaimed anime studio Bones, began his producing career at Sunrise, where he worked on Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, Mobile Fighter G Gundam, The Vision of Escaflowne, and Cowboy Bebop. Minami, the late Escaflowne/Cowboy Bebop animation director Hiroshi Osaka, and Gundam 0083/Cowboy Bebop character designer Toshihiro Kawamoto later co-founded Bones together. Minami is currently producing the Space Dandy, the science-fiction television series Captain Earth, and supervising Tenkai Knights.

Anime Expo will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 3 to July 6. The convention will also host novel and screenplay writer Gen Urobuchi, Japanese band Angela, video game producer Keiji Inafune, director Yutaka Yamamoto, the Sword Art Online II premiere with novelist Reki Kawahara and illustrator and character designer abec, the Kill la Kill dub and K: Missing Kings premiere, singer Eir Aoi, script writers Kazuki Nakashima and Yoshiki Sakurai, character designer SUSHIO, producer Yosuke Toba, voice actresses Ami Koshimizu and Ryoka Yuzuki, and Studio 4°C producer Eiko Tanaka.
