Viz's Shonen Jump to Add The Table Tennis of Ageha Manga

posted on by Egan Loo
Viz also posts messages on Naruto's ending & invites fans to submit their own

Viz's digital anthology Weekly Shonen Jump announced on Monday that it will run Itsuki Furuya's "high tension Ping Pong manga" Takujō no Ageha: The Table Tennis of Ageha next week. Furuya initially published Takujō no Ageha as a one-shot in Shueisha's Japanese version of Weekly Shonen Jump in June. The Japanese Weekly Shonen Jump is also launching the Takujō no Ageha as a full series next Monday.

The manga is the latest in the "Jump Start" initiative, in which Viz run the first three chapters of almost every new Shonen Jump series. Viz will then let readers cast a vote for which "Jump Start" series Viz would add to the magazine's lineup. Viz ran Ippei Goto's science-fiction crime manga series Hi-Fi Cluster as part of "Jump Start" in September, and it then added the series to its regular lineup last month.

Viz also posted messages from its staff to commemorate the ending of Masashi Kishimoto's main Naruto manga. The publisher invites its fans to send messages to Kishimoto and submit fan art.
