Compile Heart revealed on Friday that it will release a PS Vita version of its Date A Live Rinnne Utopia game next summer. According to the teaser video, the PS Vita version will feature new characters and new scenarios, particularly to tell what happens after the original game's story and show a new Eden. The March issue of Dragon Magazine will publish more details on January 20.
The game debuted on the PlayStation 3 console in June 2013.
Tachibana's original Date A Live light novel series centers on a boy named Shidō Itsuka who meets a spirit girl who has been rejected by a devastated world. The girl, who Shidō names "Tohka," happens to have wiped out much of humanity 30 years ago, and now she is back. The only way to stop her is to date her.
The game allows the player to interact with all of the heroines in a school setting. According to a teaser by the light novels' publisher Enterbrain, players can also go beyond the “date,” and even see their love interest as a pregnant wife in the future after marriage.
A television anime also premiered last year, and Funimation streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.
