The market research firm Oricon reported on Monday that voice actor Mamoru Miyano's 12th single "Shine" ranked at #1 on the Oricon daily singles chart for April 18.

Japanese composer and founder of the Elements Garden group Noriyasu Agematsu posted on his Twitter account on Sunday that the feat makes Miyano the first solo male voice actor with a #1 ranking single on the daily chart. Agematsu composed the song and Miyano wrote the lyrics. Oricon has not yet officially confirmed the record.

King Records released "Shine" last Wednesday. The song is being used as the opening theme song for the Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love Revolutions television anime series.

Miyano has performed theme songs alongside other voice actors for the Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club and La Corda d'Oro Blue Sky anime, and he has performed solo theme songs for the Cardfight!! Vanguard G, Koutetsu Sangokushi, and Wooser's Hand-to-Mouth Life: Awakening Arc as well as all three television anime series in the Uta no Prince-sama franchise.

In 2009, Nana Mizuki became the first solo voice actress with a #1 ranked album on the weekly charts with her album Ultimate Diamond.
