Quick Reminder: Attack on Titan Part 2 Theatrical Run Starts Today

Attack on Titan Part 2 (otherwise known as Attack on Titan: End of the World) starts it's theatrical run in Australia and New Zealand today and will continue until Wednesday the 7th of October. This limited theatrical engagement continues Madman Entertainment's Reel Anime slate for the year, which will also include Boruto -Naruto the Movie- in two weeks and Mamoru Hosada's The Boy and The Beast later in the year.

Attack on Titan Part 2 will screen in 30 cinemas over all states and territories in Australia and 16 cinemas in New Zealand, please note that many cinemas have very limited screenings this Saturday and Sunday. The full list of cinemas is as follows;

Attack on Titan: End of the World opened in Japanese theaters on September 19. The first movie opened in Japan on August 1. It debuted at #1 in the Japanese box-office and earned about 600 million yen (about US$4.8 million) in its first weekend with 467,000 tickets sold.

Attack on Titan: End of the World sold 237,016 tickets to earn 327,915,700 yen (about US$2.746 million) during the September 19-20 weekend, topping the Japanese box office on the opening weekend. However in it's second weekend the film dropped to #2 behind the live-action adaptation of Momoko Kōda's shojo manga, Heroine Shikkaku (No Longer Heroine).

Madman Entertainment previously screened Attack on Titan Part 1 from August 27th to September 9th. While Funimation hosted the world premiere of the first film in Hollywood in July, it's United States theatrical season of Part 1 on September 30th and Part 2 will start on October 20th. Canada will recieve Part 1 on the 5th of October with Part 2 following on October 22nd.
