Attack on Titan: Symphony from Paradis to Hold World Premiere at the Royal Albert Hall

Tickets go on general sale on Thursday 30 April with Royal Albert Hall Friends and Patrons tickets available from Wednesday 29 April

Attack on Titan: Symphony from Paradis
will make its world premiere with two performances at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Saturday 17 October. Featuring newly created symphonic arrangements curated by the series' original composers Hiroyuki Sawano and KOHTA YAMAMOTO, footage from the award-winning anime will be accompanied live by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and London Voices, conducted by Alexandra Cravero.

As the first official orchestral concert dedicated to the series, this production will allow fans the chance to experience the beloved story with the scale, colour, and dynamic range of a fully symphonic event. Based on the best-selling manga series of the same name, Attack on Titan remains one of the most watched anime series of all time, renowned for its complex storytelling and emotional depth.

Hiroyuki Sawano, Composer of Symphony from Paradis and Attack on Titan Seasons 1, 2, 3, and The Final Season, said: “I am delighted that the music of "Attack on Titan" will be performed in full orchestral arrangements for the first time, in various concert halls around the world. I am also very happy that Nobuko Toda — a composer and orchestrator I have long hoped to collaborate with — will be handling the orchestral arrangements of my compositions for this occasion. I believe this will be a concert experience unique to this tour, allowing audiences to feel a new kind of expression and grandeur that only a full orchestra can deliver — something distinct from the original band & orchestra format. I, myself, am already filled with excitement, and I sincerely hope that as many people as possible will enjoy it.”

KOHTA YAMAMOTO, Composer of Symphony from Paradis and Attack on Titan The Final Season, said: “I am deeply grateful that we have been given this precious opportunity, and I believe it is entirely thanks to the "Attack on Titan" fans around the world who have continued to support the work and its music. Many of the pieces I composed for this series use not only orchestral instruments but also synthesizers and guitars. I am genuinely looking forward to hearing how those tracks will sound reborn in the form of a full orchestra. For this tour, Sawano-san and I will be participating in a supervisory capacity over the music and will not be able to travel to each venue — but I am thrilled that the concerts will be held at world-class venues including the Royal Albert Hall in London. I truly hope you will enjoy these special arrangements that can only be heard live on location!”

The premiere of Symphony from Paradis at the Royal Albert Hall will be followed by a world tour, which includes an Asian premiere in Hong Kong and an American premiere at New York's Carnegie Hall. The tour will run across 15 cities for 27 performances, with more to be announced.

This new production builds on the global success of the rock-led Attack on Titan - Beyond the Walls - World Tour - having sold over 240,000 tickets to date in landmark venues including Carnegie Hall, Dolby Theatre, Sydney Opera House, among many others.

Tickets for Attack on Titan: Symphony from Paradis will go on sale at 10am BST, Thursday 30 April from the Royal Albert Hall website. Tickets for Friends and Patrons will be available 24 hours earlier.
