Mystery Chronicle: One-Way Heroics Game Heads West on PS4/PS Vita

Spike Chunsoft adapted 2012 indie game into Mystery Dungeon series last year

Spike Chunsoft announced on the US PlayStation Blog on Monday that it will release its Mystery Chronicle: One-Way Heroics game in North America for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The game will have cross buy support, where players can buy one version and also receive the other. The game has also been rated in Europe and Australia.

Smoking WOLF originally developed One-Way Heroics (Katamichi Yūsha) as a free indie PC game in 2012. Spike Chunsoft published a new version of the game for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in July 2015 under the title Fushigi no Chronicle: Furikaerimasen Katsu Made wa (Mystery Chronicle: I Won't Look Back Until I Win) in order to tie it to the Mystery Dungeon (Fushigi no Dungeon) game series. Yuichiro Saito produced the game with general producer Yoshinori Terasawa.

AGM PLAYISM published the PC game and later released a One-Way Heroics Plus expansion in August 2015.

The game is a roguelike RPG (dungeon maps procedurally generated) that incorporates forced side-scrolling. It features cameos from Spike Chunsoft's other games Danganronpa and Shiren the Wanderer.
