Bandai Namco Entertainment began streaming television commercials for Macross Delta Scramble, its PlayStation Vita game based on the ongoing Macross Delta anime, on Monday. Hayate and Freyja narrate both the 30- and 15-second versions of the commercial, which previews gameplay footage. The game will ship on October 20 in Japan.
The commercial teases "exhilarating flight action" that incorporates 20 songs from the anime, though a "Runpika Sound Edition" of the game will add an additional 30 tracks. The game will also feature guest appearances by ace pilots and songstresses from the history of the Macross series.
First printings will include a download code for Hayate's VF-31J Siegfried "Marking Valkyrie: Ver. Freyja."
The game will feature the anime's lead character, the pilot Hayate Immelmann, as well as his variable fighter mecha VF-31J Siegfried with the franchise's signature three modes of transformation — the humanoid Battroid, the aerodynamic Fighter, and the intermediate GERWALK.
