The official website for Mages and 5pb.'s Steins;Gate Elite game revealed on Tuesday that the game is slated for release on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Switch on March 15 in Japan. 5pb. is also streaming a gameplay video for the game, highlighting scenes from the visual novel that have now been replaced by scenes from the anime adaptation. (Note: The first video below is region-locked for the United States, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand.)

Steins;Gate Elite is a major update of the original Steins;Gate game from Mages with new elements.

Set in Tokyo's Akihabara district, the original game followed Rintarō Okabe as he changes fate by travelling between different world lines. The game inspired a 2011 television anime as well as the Steins;Gate – The Movie – Load Region of Déjà Vu sequel, and the game franchise boasts over 1 million copies. The followup game Steins;Gate 0 is inspiring its own anime project.

PQube released the Steins;Gate 0 game on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Europe and North America in November 2016.
