Atlus Reveals Persona O.A. 'Support App' for this Spring
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Atlus opened a website on Friday to reveal a Persona O.A. app that will launch for iOS and Android devices this spring. The app is the first app in the Persona franchise, and it serves as a "Persona series official support app."
The official website for the app is hosting a pre-registration campaign. The more people pre-register for the app, the more rewards those who pre-register will receive once the app launches. The app will be free.
The app will allow users to check the latest news for the franchise, and users can also play an exploration game. In the exploration game, players can explore Palaces with their favorite Persona character and Persona summon. Users can also collect "Persona Points" to spend to use more Persona summons in the game. As users play the exploration game, they will encounter new conversations with characters from the franchise.
The official website for A-1 Pictures' television anime based on Atlus' Persona 5 game, the latest game in the franchise, teased information about an app in the franchise on Thursday.
Persona 5 will premiere in April on the Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, MBS, and BS11 channels. The voice cast members from the game are reprising their roles for the anime.
The Persona 5 game shipped for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in Japan on September 15, 2016. The game shipped in North America on April 4, 2017 after a delay. The game featured animation sequences from the Production I.G studio.
