Anime NYC to Host Anisong World Matsuri Live Performances for 1st Year

The Anime NYC convention announced on Monday that it will host the Anisong World Matsuri live concert series for the first time at this year's event. The event will host Japanese music artists in performances on November 16 and 17 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York.
Luna Haruna, TRUE, and Konomi Suzuki are performing on November 16 (beginning at 7:00 p.m.). Morning Musume。'18, Shoko Nakagawa, Hironobu Kageyama, and Hiroshi Kitadani are performing on November 17 (beginning at 5:00 p.m.).
The staff also hinted that it will announce more performers at a later date. Tickets for the performances will be available for purchase in August. The performances will not require an Anime NYC badge to attend.
The festival event debuted in America at Los Angeles' Anime Expo 2016. Otakon has also hosted the event. It most recently held live performances in the United States at this year's Anime Expo earlier in July.
Anime NYC will be held at the Javits Center from November 16-18. Crunchyroll is the convention's title sponsor, with Aniplex, Funimation, Viz Media, GKids, Kinokuniya Bookstore, Kodansha Comics, New York Asian Film Festival, Sentai Filmworks, Subway Cinema, Sunrise, Tokyo Otaku Mode, Vertical, and Yen Press also listed as sponsors.
