Smartphone version launched on Sunday, ahead of company ceasing operations in November

Game company sprite announced in English on Wednesday that there will be an overseas version of its AOKANA: Four Rhythm Across the Blue game "soon." The company did not reveal platforms for the release.

sprite/fairys released AOKANA: Four Rhythm Across the Blue on PC in November 2014, for PlayStation Vita in February 2016, for PlayStation 4 in January 2017, and for Nintendo Switch in March 2018. Most recently, sprite released all chapters of the game for iOS and Android on August 12. The first six chapters are available for free.

sprite announced in June that it will suspend operations following the release of its AOKANA: Four Rhythm Across the Blue (Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm) Perfect Edition / 4th Anniversary Box on November 30. The announcement is still posted on the game's website.

sprite/fairys announced in May that it was dissolving the fairys brand, so AOKANA: Four Rhythm Across the Blue, which was copyrighted under sprite/fairys, is now copyrighted under sprite only. Smartphone game company FLEET announced in March that it was acquiring fairys, but the announcement is no longer available.

AOKANA: Four Rhythm Across the Blue received a television anime adaptation by Gonzo that premiered in January 2016.
