Collection release of Kunio-kun games slated for December 20 on PS4/Xbox One/Switch

Arc System Works revealed on Thursday that its Kunio-kun: The World Classics Collection game collection will include the Double Dragon, Double Dragon II, and Double Dragon III games.

Arc System Works announced the collection in September 2017. The game collection will ship in Japan on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch on December 20, with a PC release via Steam at a later date.

The release collects 11 games in the Kunio-kun game franchise, with an additional four games that are the overseas versions of some of the games with different titles and presentation (including River City Ransom). The first-print limited edition of the game will also include the Hanazono Kōkō Dodge Ball-bu game.

The games included in the release are as follows:

  • Downtown Nekketsu Kōshinkyoku
  • Nekketsu Kōkō Dodge Ball-bu
  • Nekketsu Kakutō Densetsu
  • Nekketsu! Street Basket
  • Nekketsu Kōkō Dodge Ball-bu: Soccer Hen
  • Bikkuri Nekketsu Shinkiroku
  • Kunio-kun no Nekketsu Soccer League
  • Ike Ike! Nekketsu Hockey-bu

  • Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari
  • Kunio-kun no Jidaigeki da yo Zen'in Shūgō!
  • Renegade
  • Super Dodge Ball
  • River City Ransom
  • Crash 'n the Boys Street Challenge

Arc System Works acquired the rights to a number of Technos Japan games — including Double Dragon, Super Dodge Ball, River City Ransom, and Kunio-kun games — in June 2015.

Arc System Works released Double Dragon IV, the latest game in the Double Dragon franchise, in 2017.
