Our World is Ended Game Gets 2019 Release in the West

PQube releases game on PS4, Switch, PC; game shipped in Japan for PS Vita in November 2017

PQube revealed on Wednesday that it will release Red Entertainment's Our World is Ended (Ore-tachi no Sekai wa Owatteiru.) game in the West for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in 2019.

PQube describes the game:

Our World is Ended follows Judgement 7, a team of young developers working on a brand new game engine called the W.O.R.L.D program. When wearing an Augmented Reality headset, this revolutionary program changes the landscape in real time.

When Reiji, the game part-time director, tries the program in the streets of Asakusa, he catches a glimpse of an unsettling cityscape. Could this be a glitch or is there more to it than meets the eye?

His doubts are soon to be confirmed as the members of Judgement 7 will find themselves trapped between fiction and the real world. Characters and creatures from their previous games have breached this world and now risk becoming reality. The city is on the verge of being overwritten and its fate hangs in the balance and in your actions.

Judgement 7's battle to bring the world back is about to begin!

Red Entertainment released the game in Japan in November 2017. Naoki Morita directed the game.

Morita revealed in June that he is working on a new "New World Project 2" game. The work is a completely new title, and will also be a novel-like adventure game that will have the word "Sekai" (World) in the title. The game will take place in the same world as Our World is Ended (which takes place in the real world), and will "probably" be for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The game will feature seven characters (both male and female) with a theme of "youth."

Red Entertainment has developed or published such games as Record of Agarest War, the Sakura Wars series, and Gungrave. The company's Scar-red Rider XechS game with Rejet received a television anime adaptation in July 2016. Funimation streamed the series as it aired.
