Game about saving lost souls debuts this summer

Square Enix and its Tokyo RPG Factory subsidiary (I Am Setsuna, Lost Sphere) announced a new action role-playing game titled ONINAKI (Japanese title: Oni no Naku Kuni, or "country where the ogre cries") on Wednesday. The game is slated for release in North America, Europe, and Japan this summer on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

The game's protagonist Kagachi moves between the Living World and the realm of the dead known as the Beyond in order to rescue lost souls. If not rescued, these souls will become monsters. In battle, Kagachi can manifest the unique powers of souls he has rescued in battle.
